First Contra Dance of the Spring Semester!

It may be Spring Semester, but it sure doesn't feel Spring-like outside!  Come warm up at the semester's first CONTRA DANCE!

The dance will be this Friday January 31st.
8-11pm
Beckham Hall
(which is on the 2nd floor of Fayerweather Hall, on Wesleyan's campus, next to Usdan)

Our caller this month is Ralph Sweet, one of Connecticut's contra dance and square dance masters!  Music will be provided by Stacy Phillips and Friends.  Stacy is probably best known as a master of bluegrass dobro, but he's also a dynamite fiddle player.  He'll be joined by pianist Ellen Cohn and others.

The dance is free, but we always appreciate donations.

Beginners are more than welcome!  We'll see you on Friday!

We'll have three more dances this semester (we hope): Friday Feb. 28th, Friday April 4th, and Wednesday May 7th.

Hello WesContra,

I hope all is well. I am reaching out on behalf of UCAB (The University Center Activities Board) at Wesleyan to inform you that we will be having a Hoedown Square Dance extravaganza event on March 6th at 9pm. We would love to co-program with you guys. Let us know if you are interested. You can email me at mcdiaz@wesleyan.edu. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best,
UCAB
